Finds new Sydney home in Chatswood

Sydney, December 19, 2016 – Sage, a market leader in cloud accounting software, has welcomed two key appointments to its Australian leadership team.  At the same time the company announced it has moved its Australian head office into a new facility in Chatswood, Sydney.

Natalie Chrara joins Sage as Vice President, ANZ sales. She will be responsible for driving New Customer Acquisition through direct and partner channels and joins the company following an impressive career in sales management with Ingram Micro, Oracle and Salesforce.   Natalie’s team will drive the sales-ramp of a number of new products in 2017 including Sage X3 Cloud, Sage People and Sage Live – a cloud accounting solution that was awarded “most innovative product of 2016” by her old employer, Salesforce.com.

Varun Batra joins the company as Director – Professional Services. He will lead a team of Professional Services colleagues across functions including product training, integration and outsourcing.   Varun brings extensive services experience to Sage having previously led IT operations for various Indian IT services providers across Asia, Europe and ANZ. More recently he has consulted to a range of blue-chip Australian clients both directly and while working for consulting companies including IBM.

“Natalie and Varun join Sage at an important phase in our business. They each bring great experience and passion to help us deliver on our ambitious goals for the region,” said Alan Osrin Country Vice President, Sage Software Australia.

Meanwhile, the company has consolidated all of its Sydney based employees into a new Australian head office in Chatswood’s Zenith Tower.  The new facility will encourage greater teamwork by incorporating open plan workspaces, collaboration areas and modern meeting facilities.

“It is a very exciting time for Sage in Australia. We are breaking down the silos between our business groups, hiring dynamic new colleagues, launching new products, reinvigorating our brand and enjoying new facilities. All of this change is designed to help us better serve our customers – the business builders who are the engine room of the Australian economy,” said Osrin.
