Sage One and PayPal partnership

Sydney, 12th July 2017 – Sage, a market leader in cloud accounting solutions today announced a partnership with PayPal to help Australian small businesses move one step closer to Sage’s vision of “invisible admin” by 2020.

Starting today, PayPal sales transactions, fees, taxes, and discounts can be automatically and securely imported into the Sage One cloud accounting software package. The service is simple to set-up and free to existing and new Sage One customers. Linking with PayPal will result in more accurate reporting and allow Sage One users to spend less time on manual data entry freeing them to concentrate on growing their businesses.

Nobody ever started a business because they wanted to do admin. Nobody ever said I’d love to spend all day in my accounting software,” said Alan Osrin, Country Vice President, Sage Australia.   “Our vision is that entrepreneurs and business builders will spend no time doing manual admin by 2020 and this partnership with PayPal takes us one step closer to that vision of Invisible Admin.”

PayPal managing director, Libby Roy, said, “Small businesses play a significant role in the Australian economy, accounting for approximately 44% of all employment. The partnership between Sage One and PayPal ensures that SMBs have access to our digital wallet – the most widely used and trusted in the world – and ensures better cash flow, which can be a real pain point for SMBs. The partnership also means that Sage customers have the benefit of our 24/7 anti-fraud protection to safeguard Australian small businesses.”

Customer information can now be synchronized from PayPal directly into Sage One and up to 18 months of past transactions can be imported with a single click. This will save businesses a significant amount of time, as double keying is no longer required.

As well as saving time, integrating Sage One with PayPal will help small businesses to get paid faster by providing a simple way for their customers to securely pay using a platform they know and trust.

Sage One is an easy to use cloud accounting solution for start-up businesses that manages everything from sales and purchasing to cash flow and taxes.  Around the world, more than 1 million new customers have already followed Sage to the cloud with thousands of Australian businesses embracing Sage One to manage their accounts.
