Sage awarded Initiative Mittelstands Innovation Prize IT 2009
Sage Softwares Mid-Market division honoured as Baden-Württembergs most innovative enterprise as business software solution, Sage ERP X3, helps SMEs fulfil their international requirements.
Sage Germany's mid-market division has been awarded the Initiative Mittelstands Innovation Prize IT at this years CeBIT 2009 in Hanover for its new enterprise resource planning solution, Sage ERP X3. Up against more than 2000 competitors, the market leader for business software and services in the German SME sector was honoured in the category State Victor: Baden Württemberg. The 60-strong jury of scientists, trade journalists and IT experts chose a total of 34 category- and 18 regional-state winners. Under the patronage of the Fed-eral Ministry for Economics and Technology, the Initiative Mittelstand and Huber Verlag für Neue Medien this year awarded for the sixth time the cov-eted Innovation Prize IT for the most innovative IT solutions best fulfilling mid-market companies needs.
Jury distinguishes upper mid-market business solution
Initiative Mittelstand awarded the Innovation Prize IT for the internationally orientated Sage ERP X3 solution (www.Sage-ERP-X3.de) which was un-veiled by Sage last autumn. The new software addresses globally active enterprises of between 150 and 2,500 employees. With German companies increasingly relocating parts of their business activities abroad, the applica-tion helps tackle the ever-increasing demand for internationally deployable software solutions. The launch of Sage ERP X3 in Germany took the number of countries in which the software is available to 35. The solution supports the specific languages, currencies and legislation of these countries. At the same time, Sage ERP X3 has all the necessary functionalities for profes-sionally managing multinational companies and covers the areas of finance, production, sourcing and distribution and inventory. The new solution also includes an integrated customer relationship management (CRM) system and extensive business intelligence functions for analysing mission-critical KPIs. Since the launch of Sage ERP X3 around five months ago, a number of companies, including Arlux Deutschland GmbH the pan-European manufacturer of corporate identity elements such as illuminated advertising systems and signs has already signed up for the product in Germany.
Yet another distinction for Sage
With the Innovation Prize IT 2009, software vendor Sages Villingen-Schwenningen-based Mid-Market division received yet another distinction for its innovative products: only in December 2008, an independent expert jury of the University of Potsdams Center of Enterprise Research (CER) elected the bäurer trade solution ERP System of the Year 2008 in the category Commerce. This distinction had already been bestowed on the company in 2006 and 2007.
