Stephen Kelly joins Sage Group as Chief Executive Officer

Sage Group, one of the leading global suppliers of business management platforms for SMEs, is delighted to welcome Stephen Kelly as its new Group Chief Executive Officer. Stephen joins Sage today, succeeding Guy Berruyer.

Stephen Kelly said –

We will continue to focus on delighting and supporting our customers to grow their businesses and thrive.  Sage has a vibrant culture and I look forward to meeting my colleagues in the weeks to come and talking with customers on what works well and what we can do better. We have an important role to play as a champion of SMEs, who are vital to economic growth and I look forward to leading Sage in support of them as the powerhouse of economies globally. In my first 30 days, I will meet Sage customers and our people across Europe, the USA and Africa, learning about the business and listening to their perspectives in order to build on the company’s unique position at the heart of the global SME community.” 

Sage is due to report its 2014 full year financial results on 3 December 2014.

About Stephen Kelly

Stephen has served as Chief Executive Officer of two growth orientated public software companies, namely: NASDAQ listed Chordiant Software, Inc. from 2001 to 2005; and then from 2006 to 2010, London Stock Exchange listed Micro Focus International plc. From 2010, Stephen was an angel investor and director in a number of high growth start-ups. In 2012 he was appointed COO for UK Government responsible to the Minister for the Cabinet Office. In this role Stephen was the most senior Executive responsible for UK Government’s Efficiency & Reform agenda, including Digital, Commercial, IT and SME strategies.
