Hybrid billing similarly combines two or more subscription or billing methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">By offering hybrid billing to their customers, companies with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sage.com\/en-us\/blog\/glossary\/what-is-a-subscription-business-model\/\r\">subscription business models<\/a>&nbsp;gain flexibility in meeting their customers&#8217; needs such as temporarily purchasing more usage. Under a product-lead growth (PLG) model, they may start with lower usage amounts and adjust the usage and billing thresholds as customers, competition, and other factors may dictate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There is also the possibility of rolling up many small contracts and disparate users into a larger site license which is typically sales-assisted with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sage.com\/en-us\/blog\/planning-high-acv-automated-billing-and-revenue-recognition-models\/\r\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">higher ACV<\/a>&nbsp;and more complex revenue recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A hybrid&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sage.com\/en-us\/sage-business-cloud\/intacct\/product-capabilities\/extended-capabilities\/subscription-billing\/\r\">subscription billing<\/a>&nbsp;model can also combine these PLG and sales assisted&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/developer.intacct.com\/api\/accounts-payable\/recurring-bills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recurring billing<\/a>&nbsp;models. At this level, the subscription billing solution needs to accommodate these combinations throughout the entire quote to cash process, as they are very different. One requires no- to low-touch product selection, billing, and payment.
