Diversity & Inclusion in Atlanta: A Benchmark Report

Diversity and inclusion in Atlanta – What Works and What We Need to Do to Thrive

Read the Report

Atlanta, our North America hometown, is home to some of the country’s best businesses for diversity. This year, we set out to understand how Atlanta’s corporate leaders can take diversity and inclusion (D&I) to the next level in the workplace. Over the past months, we rallied Atlanta senior business leaders from First Data, Google Fiber, Amazon Web Services, UPS, Cardlytics, the Atlanta Hawks, the Woodruff Arts Center, the Technology Association of Georgia and more, to discuss the future of diversity and inclusion in Atlanta.

Sage commissioned a study to understand what’s working and where the opportunities lie for corporate Atlanta to take diversity and inclusion to the next level. Here’s what we learned:

  1. We need better data and metrics related to workforce diversity and a standardized set of KPIs
  2. We need more honest and open dialogue around D&I policies/priorities and the exchange of best practices
  3. We need stronger corporate-city partnerships to drive the acquisition of more diverse talent and tackle local issues that impact equality

Here are more learnings from the study:
