Accounting software can help automate your finances with features like expense and payment tracking, invoicing, and remote access. It helps accountants and their practices by offering a free subscription to Accountants Edition, so you can manage your clients accounting subscriptions from a single easy-to-use, secure, cloud-based platform.

Bookkeeping accounting software is a program that helps to organize and automate accounting and bookkeeping functions like bank reconciliations and data capture. It reduces time spent on bookkeeping and accounting admin, as well as human error, and helps to boost productivity.

Accounting software works by syncing your bank accounts with the software to automatically capture transactions so that they can be reconciled between your business cash accounts and your bank statements. Accounting software like Sage Accounting also offers powerful tools for invoicing, payments, and expense tracking—all securely remotely accessible from the cloud.

Once you've downloaded the software, you first need to sync your bank account with the software. Then, bank transactions will be downloaded directly from your account into your accounting software ledger, where they are automatically categorized and reconciled where possible, per your specifications.

Prices for accounting software varies. For accountants and bookkeepers, Sage Accounting - Accountants Edition subscriptions are free. Sage Accounting Start plans for clients start at $10 per month, and Sage Accounting plans begin at $25 per month. Accountants and bookkeepers also get exclusive pricing to offer their clients Sage Accounting subscriptions at lower prices than purchasing directly from Sage.

  1. For accounting professionals only. To receive and maintain access to Sage Business Cloud Accounting—Accountant Edition, you must be an accountant or bookkeeper providing professional accounting or bookkeeping services for multiple fee-paying clients. If at any time Sage determines that you are no longer eligible, your access will be terminated.
  2. An unlimited number of users feature available only for Sage Accounting subscriptions.
  3. Discounted subscription rate valid only when, and for as long as, the client subscription (including renewals) is attached to the accountant or bookkeeper’s account. If the accountant or bookkeeper cancels the subscription the client will need to set up separate billing at the then-current rate in order to maintain access to Sage Business Cloud Accounting May not be combined with any other offers or discounts. Sage reserves the right to end this promotional offer at any time.
  4. Offer valid for new customers only of AutoEntry. Discounted subscription rate is for the first month, after which the monthly subscription rate will renew at the then-current rate. A valid credit card is required to activate your AutoEntry subscription. A paid AutoEntry subscription is required for continued use of your AutoEntry online account. To ensure continuous service your subscription plan is an automatically renewing plan. Subsequent months will automatically be billed to the same credit card each month on your anniversary date of purchase. You may terminate the plan at any time prior to your renewal date and not be charged for the renewal.
  5. Not all Accounting features available on the mobile app. Mobile devices sold separately and a data plan is required. Data access is subject to cellular provider network availability and occasional downtime due to system maintenance.
