With<\/span> the <\/span>C<\/span>oronavirus raging across the globe, many accountant<\/span>s<\/span> ha<\/span>ve<\/span> been with their clients every step of the way.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were suddenly the beacon that everyone looked to<\/span>,<\/span> as help from governments and other bodies had been mostly financial. The<\/span>y<\/span> assisted clients with explaining<\/span> <\/span>and compiling<\/span> the required <\/span>data and<\/span> helped them to complete the forms. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/span>Positive disruption<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following the events of 2020, people need to make the most of prospects to help their businesses capitalise on the \u2018new normal\u2019. <\/span>T<\/span>his year\u2019s Practice of Now report showed that the accounting industry is <\/span>ready<\/span> for the challenge. Although completed shortly before the outbreak of the virus, the results from speaking to over 3<\/span>,<\/span>000 accountants globally w<\/span>ere<\/span> overwhelmingly positive. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/span>The integral theme that reoccurred was <\/span>that <\/span>the profession was on the cusp of positive disruption. The survey found that not only <\/span>did<\/span> client expectations now includ<\/span>e<\/span> business and strategy advice far outside the usual remit of accounting, but also that accountants are actively responding to the needs of an expanded service menu. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
