We wanted to know what keeps them up at night, and what they hope the profession will look like in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">49% of the people we asked were from small businesses (between 50-249 employees) and 51% were from medium businesses (250-1,999 employees).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To get a broad perspective, we reached out to companies in these high-skill sectors:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial services&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technology&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional services&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E-commerce retail&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Telecommunications&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insurance&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where\"><strong>Where is HR today?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the opening section, we reveal how today\u2019s HR leaders are feeling after what\u2019s been a tough couple of years.&nbsp; This includes how complexity, global uncertainty, and huge shifts in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sage.com\/en-za\/blog\/support-employees-work-evolves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ways of working<\/a> have left many burnt out and stressed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThings are changing so fast.
