This year has seen changes to the law that have been complicated by the submission of three sets of Amendment Bills – the first batch in July, the second in September and the third in October.

These changes will be promulgated by early 2017 and their impact on payrolls and employers will be explained in detail in the 2017 Annual Payroll Tax Seminar in March.

Some interesting topics that will be included:

    • 2017 Budget proposals
    • Latest tax certificate submission requirements
    • Retirement reform changes are not over yet
    • Are the difficulties experienced with ETI data on tax certificates a thing of the past?
    • The Minister of Finance has announced a tax revenue shortfall of R43 billion – where is it going to come from?
    • The position with the Learnership tax incentive
    • Increased tax relief for bursaries
    • In what way will dividends be taxed?
    • A look into tax projects down the road
