Sage Foundation's Enterprise Fund is a new $1,000,000(USD) fund available to non-profits and charities.


What are the aims of the fund?

Our fund is designed to support organizations who are looking to generate further income, create new initiatives or enhance existing and proven activity. Grants of between $5,000 - $35,000(USD) will be awarded, with a first round closing date of April 5.

Who can benefit?

Our new fund is open to applications that will deliver real change to young people, women and military veterans lives around the world, whilst also supporting your organization to thrive.

We are particularly interested in applications that demonstrate an enterprising approach and innovative solutions to issues in your community, which in turn inspires others. All applications that fulfil our eligibility criteria will be considered. However, we are especially keen to support organisations that are currently small but have ambitions to expand, grow and deliver sustainable change.

Who is eligible?

Your organization may be eligible for Sage Foundation's Enterprise Fund if you meet the criteria outlined below. Please read through each category in order to understand if we can help your organization.

If you find your organization is not eligible for funding, you could consider applying for another form of support from Sage Foundation. Find out more about alternative support on our funding pages.

In to order qualify, funding must be put towards one of the following expenditures:

  • Capital (new buildings, building renovations, vehicles)
  • Core (the running costs of your organization e.g. salaries and overheads)
  • Equipment (computer equipment, materials for delivering your activity)
  • Project (specific time limited projects with time limited salary and overheads)

Sage Foundation's Enterprise Fund is designed to support young people, women and military veterans.

In order qualify for funding, your organization must work with one of the following groups:

  • Young people (under 25)
  • Women and girls
  • Military veterans

Sage Foundation's Enterprise Fund is designed to support organizations who focus on a diverse and varied range of interest areas which benefit our three communities.

In order to qualify for funding, your organization must work to address one of following areas of interest:

  • Health and wellbeing
  • Education
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Entrepreneurship

Organizations can be eligible for our help if they are supporting communities around the world where Sage Foundation is active.

Sage Foundation's Enterprise Fund is subject to the proof of your organizations status and registration.

Even if you are eligible for our support you will need to provide certain documents or information before you could be paid a grant. Below we outline the information and documents we will require as part of your application.

  • Proof of the Charity’s tax exemption and/or proof of registration as a charity or not for profit (if applicable).
  • A description of the Charity’s programmes and activities, including any brochures or other printed material.
  • If the funds are destined for a specific project, details of the project.
  • A certified copy (certified by a public notary) of the Charity’s governing document e.g. Statutes, Trust Deed, Constitution, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Articles of Incorporation or Bye laws etc. that state your aims and objectives.
  • A certified copy (certified by a public notary) of the Charity’s most recent annual report and audited accounts.
  • Evidence of a bank account - this must include: currency preferred, account name and number including IBAN, bank account address, swift code and any intermediary bank details.
  • Title, surname, forename(s), date of birth, residential address and whether male of female for all: Trustees, Directors, Partners or any person(s), controlling the operations or the organization including any beneficial owners if applicable and the main contact for this application and the persons signing the terms of the CAF Grant.
  • Details of all the Trustees, Directors, partners or anyone else controlling the operations or the organization including any beneficial owners (if applicable).
  • Documentation detailing any of your organizations assets or income distributed to, or applied to the benefit of, a private person or for-profit organization other than the beneficiaries of your charitable purpose (if applicable).
  • Details of any individuals or for-profit enterprises own any part of your organization’s income or assets (if applicable).

Grants will be awarded between $5,000 - $35,000(USD). First round closing date is April 5 2017.
