Migrating from an old legacy system frees ATKV up to focus on its mission

ATKV - South Africa

ATKV a non-profit based in South Africa relies on Sage Intacct to keep its financial reporting visible and safe.

Off site data silos meant slow reporting

ATKV’s CFO, Sanri van der Walt, needed to switch from the legacy system as managers faced a 2-3 week delay in approving POs, and generating month-end close reports took 10 business days.

Getting real time information was difficult. Everything was exported first to Excel, then sent to head office, and finally collated before useable financial information was available.

Typically, before it took up until 10 business days before we could send out month end reports because we had to compile it manually.

Switching to Sage Intacct boosts uptime

Garrith Hyman, Head of Sage Intacct for migration partner Brilliant Link, who helped ATKV with its migration also likes the reliability and compliance measures provided by Sage Intacct, “the redundancy they guarantee up time of 99.9% you'll never have any issues. They provide the necessary certificates and reports.”

We all know that you can be hacked anytime. Sage has never been hacked so security is very important to them.

Efficiencies gained, time saved

For ATKV and Sanri, the efficiencies were clear: “because we can do real time checks on the information we are able to do the corrections, if needed, much sooner.”

The month-end reviews were able to be done on a daily or weekly basis, instead of monthly.

We’ve reduced our month-end reporting time by 2-3 days since starting Sage Intacct.
