Joshua Coombes is a British hairstylist, author and founder of Do Something for Nothing–a movement that encourages people to connect their skills and time to those who need them. In 2015, Joshua took to the streets of London to positively impact the lives of men and women experiencing homelessness by offering them free haircuts. By posting transformative images on Instagram, Joshua’s platform grew and he continues to share stories that all too often go unheard.
His mission caught the attention of the world’s media, including National Geographic’s ‘The Story of Us’ (Netflix). Today, Joshua continues his efforts, working on the streets in new countries, humanising the issue of homelessness globally, collaborating with companies and organisations, and giving talks around the world. His first book Do Something for Nothing has been published in the UK, Australia, USA and Canada.
