Welcome - this guide provides information about accessibility for visitors to our London Bridge office.

Accessibility guidelines

  • Main entrance accessible with dropped curbs.
  • Designated accessible parking.
  • Clear route with dropped curbs from parking area to entrance.
  • Main entrance doors are automatic on first and third floors only.
  • Access control is suitable for wheelchair user on first and third floors only.

Main entrance has level access.

There is level access from the main entrance to:

  • Accessible toilet (1st and 3rd floors).
  • Accessible showers (1st and 3rd floors). 
  • Multi-faith room/Quiet room (1st and 3rd floors). 
  • Cafeteria (Third floor only).
  • Elevator area (Third floor only).
  • Access to all floors via passenger elevator.
  • Elevator doors are 106cm wide, lifts are 203cm wide and 162cm deep.
  • Elevators will show floor numbers at each floor (will not announce floor numbers).
  • Elevators have raised buttons.
  • Toilet doors are manually operated and 86cm wide.
  • Direction of travel for bathroom is to the left. 
  • Toilet height is 48cm and handrails are 83cm.
  • There is 25cm at the side of the toilet. There is 63cm in front of the toilet.
  • There is no cafeteria at this premises.
  • The fire alarm does not have flashing lights.
  • There are no hearing loop systems installed within this site.
  • Glass doors and full-height windows have contrast markings.
  • The walls and the doors do not have high colour contrast.
  • Low lighting is not standard.
  • No designated quiet working areas.
  • Light brightness can be adjusted (training room only).
  • Floors are patterned, walls are not.
  • Building has spaces without patterned wall and floor surfaces (collaboration areas only).
  • Hot desks are not available that can be adjusted to support different working positions and heights.
  • Evacuation chairs available and personnel trained in using them.
  • No provision for assistive dogs, for example space for toileting, water/feeding stations.
  • Door handles are easy grip and accessible.
  • No access-controlled release buttons for person using a wheelchair user.
