Head of Sustainability (Europe and Asia), Interface
Jon Khoo is the Head of Sustainability (Europe & Asia) at Interface with a focus on sustainability, inclusive business and intrapreneurship. Interface is a flooring manufacturer with a 28-year track record of putting a focus on the environment, recognised in 2020 with a UN Climate Action Award.
Jon specializes in the commercialisation of Interface’s sustainability initiatives and response to the current climate crisis, such as its mission Climate Take Back–to run its business in a way that reverses the effects of global warming. Key areas of focus are carbon footprint reduction and the circular economy, with the company recently announcing that it had reached the milestone of being a carbon neutral company, that makes carbon neutral products.
He was also part of Interface’s award-winning Net-Works partnership with the Zoological Society of London which empowered fishing communities in the Philippines and Indonesia through the creation of an inclusive supply chain for discarded nylon fishing nets.
Jon currently represents Interface at industry groups, including the Corporate Leaders Group, the Aldersgate Group and the UK Green Building Council and is currently on the advisory board for edie 23. He is also the Chair of the UK environmental charity, Surfers Against Sewage.
