Dublin office accessibility

Welcome - this guide provides information about accessibility for visitors to our Dublin office.

Accessibility guidelines

  • From the street to the main entrance, there is level access.

  • Designated accessible parking space located in underground carpark.
  • Clear route with dropped curbs to main entrance.
  • Main entrance has automatic sensor doors which are 102cm wide (can be extended to 180cm fully open).
  • Access control suitable for wheelchair user.

There is level access from the main entrance to:

  • Main entrance (sensor door).
  • Bistro dining area (manually operated doors).
  • Elevator area.
  • Multi- faith room and quiet room (manually operated doors).
  • Accessible toilet (manually operated door).
  • Accessible shower (manually operated door).  

  • Access to all floors via passenger lifts.
  • Lift doors are 90cm wide and lift is 150cm wide.
  • Lifts have raised buttons.
  • Lifts will show and announce floor numbers at each floor.

  • Toilet doors are manually operated and 92cm wide.
  • Direction of transfer to the toilet is to the left hand side.
  • Toilet height is 49cm with handrails.
  • Sink height is 97cm.
  • There is 97cm at the side of the toilet. There is 192cm in front of the toilet.

  • There is no cafeteria area located within the Winnersh office, only kitchen space.
  • No food is served, fruit is provided.
  • No background music played in kitchen area.
  • Counter tops are suitable height for wheelchair user (87cm), microwave is located at wheelchair height also.

  • The fire alarm does not have flashing lights.
  • There are no hearing loop systems installed within this site.

  • Glass doors and full-height windows have contrast markings internally (perimeter to office floor does not).
  • The walls and the doors have high colour contrast.
  • Low lighting is not standard.

  • Designated quiet rooms located on the level one.
  • One-person quiet pods available on first and second floor (no signage).
  • Light brightness can be adjusted in reception and level one, room one.
  • Spaces without patterned wall and floor surfaces.

  • Hot desking (need prior notice to accommodate designated working space).
  • Adjustable workstations available. 
  • Evacuation Chairs available with trained staff members.

  • No provision for assistive dogs, for example space for toileting, water/feeding stations.
  • Door handles are easy grip and accessible.
  • Access controlled release buttons accessible for a wheelchair user.
