What is imputed income?

 

Imputed Income

A non-cash benefit given to employees that may be taxable for one or more federal, state, or local taxes. The amount
is not deducted from the employee paychecks. Examples: group term life insurance coverage, dependent care
assistance, and adoption assistance over the tax-free amount.
