When setting up Sage 50, you may import your list of vendors, customers, inventory, and employees via .iif or .csv files. It is not possible to bring over transactional records; to import your opening balances, you would enter a journal entry in your new Sage 50 company file.

The recommended method to upgrade your Sage 50 license is within the product. In Sage 50, when the Upgrade is ready, you will be prompted with a message to Download Now which will prompt you through the wizard to install the upgrade. 1.  Offer available to new customers only. A minimum one-year commitment required. Valid credit card and internet access required to activate and maintain support and services. Activation of your Sage Business Care plan must occur within 30 days of your product registration to have access to benefits for the entire term of your plan. To ensure continuous service, your Sage Business Care plan is an automatically renewing plan. The traditional plan is an annual plan with a perpetual license to the software, therefore you own the license. You may terminate any of the plans with at least seven days’ notice prior to your renewal date and not be charged for the renewal. Offer expires  November 22, 2020.

2. Your license (Sage 50 Pro Accounting and Sage 50 Premium Accounting) allows you to set up and enter transactions in one (1) company. You may add additional companies to your license with the payment of an additional fee.

3. Each Sage 50 Premium Accounting box includes two user licenses. Up to four users can be purchased. Sage 50 Quantum Accounting may be purchased in increments of five for Up to forty users. Each user must have a license to use the product.
