Migrate to Sage from QuickBooks FAQs

Any accounting software that can export your accounting data to a .csv file can be quickly and easily migrated to Sage Accounting.
You can technically switch to a new accounting system whenever you choose to do so, however it would not be recommended to switch right before year's end when tax season is approaching.
It's super easy switch from QuickBooks to Sage Accounting with your current accounts data. Simply export the data you'd like to migrate from QuickBooks to Sage in a Microsoft Excel .CSV file format. From there, you can simply import that .CSV file into Sage Accounting, and voila! You've migrated to Sage Accounting. 

To export your data from QuickBooks, first open QuickBooks and find the "Excel" drop-down in the menu bar. From there you can choose what data you'd like to export (customers/vendors, lists, items, reports, etc.). Next in the export window you can choose to create a .CSV file, and then select "Export." From there you can name the .CSV file and save it on your computer wherever is most convenient for you.

Once saved, you can then use this .CSV file to import your QuickBooks data into Sage Accounting. 

Sage Accounting is much easier to use than QuickBooks, and even learns how to categorize transactions quicker automatically the more you use it.
