Sage acquires WholeHelp to empower customers and partners to build AI-powered applications and automate workflows at scale

Acquisition brings AI Studio’s application-building and workflow automation capabilities into Sage, building on an established partnership in France.
Puteaux, 5 October 2026 – Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and medium-sized businesses, today announces the acquisition of WholeHelp, the company behind the AI Studio platform that powers Sage 100 Experience Edition. Launched through Sage’s partnership with WholeHelp in June 2026, the technology is already used by a growing number of customers and partners in France. WholeHelp enables customers to turn business requirements into tailored applications and automated workflows in hours, not days, accelerating time-to-value through AI-native technology.

Businesses often need their software to support processes that are specific to the way they operate. Addressing these needs through traditional custom development requires specialist skills, significant investment and months of work.

WholeHelp’s AI Studio closes that gap through a suite of AI-native capabilities that enable customers to rapidly build, automate and interact with business applications. Its AI Builder module converts natural-language requirements into lightweight web applications, such as role-based dashboards or task-specific interfaces. The Workflow module uses AI agents to create automations across and beyond Sage products, accelerating productivity without the need for lengthy bespoke development. The Chat platform provides conversational access to information and processes, making it easier for users to complete everyday tasks and unlock greater value from their business systems.

WholeHelp’s AI Studio integrates seamlessly with existing Sage solutions through APIs, allowing applications and workflows to connect directly to the products, data and business processes customers already rely on. Partners are already using the platform to create tailored dashboards, task-specific applications and automated workflows that connect Sage with other business systems, such as CRM platforms. The result is greater interoperability across the SMB technology ecosystem and a more open, connected experience for customers.

“Businesses want AI that addresses practical challenges and delivers value within the way they already work,” said Arnaud Petit, Managing Director, Sage Southern Europe. “WholeHelp’s AI Studio has demonstrated in live Sage environments how quickly a specific customer need can become a working application or automated workflow. By bringing the business into Sage, we can now invest further, integrate the technology more closely with our products and make that capability available to more businesses across France and eventually other Sage products and geographies.”

Turning business needs into working applications

For customers, this means fewer manual steps, interfaces designed around the work to be done and simpler access to information, as part of the Sage solutions, data, expertise and functional depth they have built up over time. For partners, it is a faster way to answer specific customer requirements and to extend the Sage products they already implement and support, delivering tailored solutions in hours rather than days. The acquisition builds on a well-established relationship, which has allowed WholeHelp to develop the platform around real customer and partner requirements, supporting closer integration and wider adoption.

“We built WholeHelp inside the Sage ecosystem because applications and automation only create value when they connect with the products, data and processes businesses already rely on,” said Valentin Barthel, Co-founder and CEO of WholeHelp. “Our team took it from the first line of code to live customers in under a year, working alongside Sage and their partners in France. Joining Sage is an outstanding opportunity. Combining the flexibility of an AI-native workflow solution with the compliance and functional depth of Sage’s established products and the reach of the Sage partner network is both innovative and unique, and it is how we will bring this to many more businesses.”

We extend that commitment by using our time, resources and experience to help create opportunity in the communities where we live and work.

About WholeHelp

Founded in France, WholeHelp began as a technical digital agency and has exclusively focused on AI Studio since 2025, the platform that powers Sage 100 Experience Edition. WholeHelp built AI Studio as a Sage technology partner, from inside the Sage ecosystem rather than alongside it, and the product is already in the hands of Sage customers. AI Studio combines Builder, a prompt-based environment for building web applications, and Workflow Builder, an agent-based automation tool, with redesigned web interfaces and conversational agents embedded in the product. Together they form a usage layer that extends the depth and compliance of Sage solutions with the flexibility of the web and native AI, giving customers productivity gains on their existing Sage solutions.

Notes to editors

Sage has acquired WholeHelp, the company behind AI Studio, the AI-powered application and workflow platform that powers Sage 100 Experience Edition. AI Studio enables businesses and Sage partners to create web applications and automate workflows around the Sage solutions they already use.

AI Studio is an AI-powered application and workflow platform developed by WholeHelp, a Sage technology partner. It combines AI Builder, a prompt-based environment for creating web applications, with Workflow Builder, an agent-based workflow automation tool, as well as redesigned web interfaces and conversational agents embedded in the product.

AI Studio is the platform that powers Sage 100 Experience Edition. Developed within the Sage ecosystem, the technology is already used in live Sage customer environments in France.

AI Builder enables users to describe a business requirement using natural language and turn that requirement into a lightweight web application. Examples given by Sage include role-based dashboards and task-specific interfaces.

Workflow Builder uses AI agents to create automated workflows around business applications and underlying Sage products. It is designed to automate business processes and reduce manual steps.

AI Studio connects to existing Sage solutions through APIs. Applications and automated workflows can therefore be built on top of the Sage products, data and business processes that customers already use, without requiring a rewrite of the core Sage product.

No. WholeHelp’s AI Studio is designed to work on top of existing Sage solutions via APIs. Customers can retain the systems they already use while adding web applications, automated workflows and new ways of interacting with their business information.

The acquisition gives Sage and its partners greater capability to rapidly create applications and automate workflows around the Sage solutions customers already use. It builds on an existing relationship: WholeHelp developed AI Studio as a Sage technology partner and the technology is already being used by Sage customers and partners in France.

WholeHelp’s AI Studio is designed to address business requirements that would traditionally require custom development. It can turn natural-language requirements into web applications and use AI agents to automate workflows, helping businesses adapt their software to specific ways of working while continuing to use their existing Sage solutions.

Sage partners can use AI Studio to create tailored applications and automated workflows around the Sage products they already implement and support. The platform can also connect Sage solutions with other business systems, including CRM platforms.

Yes. WholeHelp’s AI Studio was launched through the Sage partnership in June 2026 and is already live with a growing number of Sage customers and partners in France. It is currently sold by Sage as Sage 100 Experience Edition.

There is no immediate change for existing WholeHelp’s AI Studio customers and partners. The product and services continue to operate, existing contacts remain the same, and existing applications and automations continue to run as they do today. Sage intends to continue investing in the platform and integrate it more closely into the Sage ecosystem.

The acquisition adds AI capabilities that are already being used in real Sage environments. WholeHelp’s AI Studio applies AI to practical business needs, including creating applications from natural-language requirements and automating workflows around existing Sage solutions.

Sage says the acquisition will allow it to invest further, integrate the technology more closely with its products and make the capability available to more businesses across France and eventually other Sage products and geographies.
