Accounting software is a solution that helps businesses or sole traders manage their finances.
The software helps with daily tasks, such as managing bills, payments, and inventory. It can also help users record and process their financial transactions, and make financial reports to help businesses make key decisions.
Using accounting software saves time, reduces mistakes, helps businesses stay compliant with legislation, and makes financial work easier and more accurate.
While you don’t need accounting software to run a small business, it will make managing your finances a lot easier rather than relying on paper or spreadsheets for you financial records and transactions.
With a good software solution in place, you’ll save time on admin and cut down the risk of making potentially costly mistakes. Accounting software will automatically update your data in real time and reconcile payments and transactions across different bank accounts. It will allow you to easily submit accurate and compliant tax returns to HMRC, and facilitate effortless collaboration with colleagues, accountants, clients and partners.
Sage Accounting is hosted online, so there's no need to download any software onto your phone or computer. Simply head to Sage.com, and use the 'Login' button to access your secure, cloud-based accounting solution.
You can also use Sage Accounting via our handy mobile app which you can find out more about here.
Our accounting software is designed for high performance even on low internet speeds. A standard phone connection (with typical mobile 4G speed) has you covered.
For those of you interested in the specs, a minimum download speed of 2mbps is essential to keep Accounting up to date and to take full advantage of its features. Your smartphone will give you more than enough speed to use Accounting smoothly. For optimal performance we also recommend that you use the most up-to-date version of your web browser.
