Sage hires international technology heavy weights

New senior hires will realise Sage Business Cloud vision for all customers in 2018.

November 9, 2017 - Sage, the market leader in cloud business management solutions, has appointed four new technology roles into its Senior Management Team, including the appointment of a new Chief Product Delivery Officer on its Executive Committee (ExCo).

These key appointments demonstrate Sage’s commitment to making customers lives simpler through its cloud services. Responsible for driving further innovation in the recently announced Sage Business Cloud, this team will ensure everything from money to people, including newly acquired cloud products Sage People and Sage Intacct are delivered to new and existing customers all in the cloud.

Senior technology appointments include:

• Sanjay Almeida, Chief Product Delivery Officer: Sanjay joins Sage’s ExCo, and is responsible for the product strategy and delivery of Sage’s full suite of products. Sanjay joins Sage from SAP, where he had been Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of the company’s Ariba business since October 2015.
• Nuno Godinho, Executive Vice President Product Delivery – Cloud Portfolio: Nuno is responsible for the development and delivery of Sage’s cloud products to support the next generation of business. He leads the Product Delivery team to ensure that Sage’s cloud products are of the highest quality. Nuno joins Sage from GE Healthcare, where he was VP SW Engineering and CTO for Europe leading all the European Product Engineering teams. Nuno was the original creator of the GE Health Cloud concept, and then a critical part of the team to deliver it from business case to implementation.
• Klaus Kaasgaard, Executive Vice President, Experience Design: This newly created role sees Klaus responsible for ensuring a seamless and integrated customer experience across Sage’s entire product portfolio. This role is increasingly important as customers move to cloud products, and manage everything from money to people in the cloud. Klaus brings 25 years of leadership experience, and joins Sage from SurveyMonkey, and prior to that Intuit, where he led user experience and design across multiple platforms.
• Lindsay Phillips, Executive Vice President, Product Engineering: This pivotal role will see Lindsay review Sage’s portfolio of products and the teams that deliver them, and ensure that Sage continues to bring disruptive and exciting technologies to the market to better serve customers. Lindsay joins from HPE where he worked on SAP projects, including running one of the world’s largest SAP upgrades.
