Sage bolsters executive committee with chief product officer promotion

Sage today announced it has promoted chief product officer Walid Abu-Hadba to its Executive Committee (ExCo).

LONDON, 28th January 2022 – Sage (FTSE: SGE), the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced it has promoted chief product officer (CPrO) Walid Abu-Hadba to its Executive Committee (ExCo).  Walid’s promotion puts Sage’s product strategy, along with its technology vision, at the heart of strategic customer thinking and decision making. Together they boost Sage’s ambition to become the trusted network for small and mid-sized businesses through the Digital Network.

Walid joined Sage in May 2021, having previously spent 20 years at Microsoft, where he was corporate vice president responsible for the developer and platform evangelism group, before joining ANSYS INC as chief product officer. Most recently he was senior vice president, Oracle Developer Tools. He also holds several senior board advisor roles in the technology sector and patents in the field of AI. He brings extensive industry experience and leadership skills and is passionate about driving strategy and building a culture that delivers tangible, customer-centric solutions. 
 
Walid’s appointment follows Sage’s acquisition of Brightpearl, a cloud-native multichannel retail management system for retailers and wholesalers, underlining its ongoing commitment to adapt to customer needs by acquisition and ongoing innovation.
