Sale of Sage businesses in Asia and Australia

Sage has entered into an agreement for the sale of its businesses in Asia and Australia (excluding global products) with The Access Group
December 23, 2020: Today we announced to the market that Sage has entered into an agreement for the sale of Sage Asia and Australia to The Access Group.

The sale excludes Sage’s global products Sage Intacct, Sage People, Sage X3, Sage 300, Sage CRM, Sage 50, Sage CRE and Sage Business Cloud Accounting that are part of its global growth strategy.

The Access Group provides a connected suites of back office industry-specific applications including mid-market Finance and HR/Payroll, eLearning, CRM, Care Management, Ticketing and ePos, in the UK and, more recently Asia Pacific. The company is owned by Hg Capital, TA Associates and management.

The firm has a history of acquiring and investing in market-leading companies. Their intention is to do the same with Sage Asia and Australia. 

We expect the transaction to complete by the end of June, 2021.
