Sydney, 01 NOVEMBER 2023 – Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), recently appointed Tom Gough as Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). With the alignment of the UKI, Asia, Australia and Africa (UKIA) regions last year, Tom’s appointment sees him take the lead in driving growth across the ANZ business to meet the increasing demand and shifting needs of local customers.
As Country Manager, Tom will sit at the helm of the ANZ region’s go to market team, working closely with the business, marketing, customer service, finance and people units to deliver a unified Sage approach. His priority in the new role will be building greater brand awareness and stronger reputation with SMBs across the region, as well as strengthening relationships with key customers, prospects and business partners.
Tom comes into the role after almost a decade with the Sage business. Most recently, he oversaw Sage’s Accounts Payable (AP) Automation team where he was responsible for delivering Sage’s AI-powered embedded AP offering to SMBs globally. Prior to this, Tom led the international launch of Sage Intacct, a cloud-based financial management solution for medium-sized businesses. During his time in the Sage business, Tom has also played an instrumental role in developing Sage’s North American business operations as the Finance Director of Sage Canada. Tom is a Chartered Accountant, trained at PwC London.

Tom recently relocated to Sydney from London for the role and will join the UKIA Leadership Team in his new position.
