Phumzile Skosana is a mechanical engineer and the founder of Balleo Engineering, based in South Africa.
Having worked for Eskom Power Station for 10 years in engineering and maintenance. Back in 2015, she decided to pursue her dream of starting her own business back. A passionate and energetic professional who delivers a superior and lasting experience to her clients.
She embarked on an entrepreneurial journey which shaped her desire to help others on the same path. Phumzile pays attention to the nuts and bolts of entrepreneurship and helps others do the same. A teacher at heart, she is committed to helping other budding entrepreneurs grow their businesses through mentorship and coaching.
She shares practical business strategies drawn from over a decade of experience working alongside corporate and government clients. A major component of her mission is to advance upcoming entrepreneurs in the energy sector. Based on her experience and deep understanding of the challenges that face many small business owners in the sector who are trying to win government tenders.
Phumzile developed a series of masterclasses to help small businesses navigate these complexities so they can win government tenders and sustain their businesses with long-term contracts. Her diversity and strength are evident in how she is successfully running her engineering business and teaching masterclasses on business skills and development.
When she’s not traversing corporate boardrooms and industrial sites, she’s a mother and a lover of dogs who enjoys spending time in nature.
