Time to move to the cloud

With just eight employees handling many clients, the practice is constantly looking for ways to conduct business more efficiently. With HMRC phasing in digital tax services, Watson & Colhoun were keen to make more of the cloud and automate services for clients. A long-term Sage partner, the practice wanted to explore the benefits of Sage Accounting.

A move to the cloud hadn’t been our primary focus, it seemed easier just to carry on. Lockdown focused our minds - we knew we had to adapt, like every business.

Less manual input, more time for clients

As the UK locked down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Watson & Colhoun worked with its Sage Practice Success Manager to plan a smooth migration to the cloud. Once lockdown eased slightly, they began to migrate their clients to Sage Accounting. This automated many processes, freeing up time for both accountants and their clients. Sage AutoEntry was a particular hit with clients.

With so many of our processes automated, the team don’t have to spend hours inputting invoice or VAT data - they’re free to do more client-facing work.
