Welcome - this guide provides information about accessibility for visitors to our Winnersh office.

Accessibility guidelines

  • From the street to the main entrance, there is level access.

  • One designated accessible parking space.
  • Main entrance has double manually operated doors (95cm each or 190cm total).
  • Dropped curb access suitable for wheelchair user.

There is level access from the main entrance to:

  • Main entrance (manually operated door).
  • Elevator area.
  • Accessible toilet (manually operated door 92cm wide)
  • Level access not available for multi-faith room/quiet room (located on floor 1).
  • Sage kitchen on located on floor 1 (no level access).
  • Access to all floors via passenger lifts.
  • Lift doors are 108cm wide, lifts are 157cm wide and 133cm deep.
  • Lifts buttons have braille.
  • Lifts will show floor numbers, inside the lift, at each floor.
  • Ground floor lifts displays floor number, but this feature is not available on first or second floor.
  • Audio announcement not enabled.
  • Toilet doors are manually operated and 92cm wide.
  • Direction of transfer to the toilet is right to left.
  • Toilet height is 51cm with handrails.
  • There is 96cm at the side of the toilet. There is 140cm in front of the toilet.
  • There is a Sage kitchen located on floor one.
  • No music played in this area.
  • Countertops are suitable for wheelchair user (85cm high).
  • The fire alarm does not have flashing lights.
  • There is no hearing loop systems installed within specific floors or meeting rooms.
  • There is a hearing loop system installed in reception area of office.
  • Glass doors and full-height windows have contrast markings.
  • The walls and the doors do not have high colour contrast (other than feature walls with slates or green foliage).
  • Low lighting is not standard inside building (low light is standard outside of building).
  • Designated quiet rooms located on the level one.
  • One-person quiet pods available on first and second floor (no signage).
  • Light brightness can be adjusted in reception and level one, room one.
  • Spaces without patterned wall and floor surfaces.
  • Hot desking (need prior notice to accommodate designated working space).
  • Two motorised adjustable desks.
  • No evacuation chairs available, trained fire marshals and first aiders on site.
  • No provision for assistive dogs, for example space for toileting, water/feeding stations.
  • Door handles are easy grip and accessible.
  • Access controlled release buttons accessible for a wheelchair user.
