Five reasons why I love Sage Summit

Last year I was lucky enough to be invited to the Sage Summit in New Orleans and had the most incredible time there. So much so that I’m looking forward to returning this year and am very excited to see if the Chicago Sage Summit is every bit as good. I have no doubt that it will be.

Here are five reasons why I love Sage Summit.

Customer focus

Sage is a global brand focussed on its customers: small and medium businesses. The whole conference is geared towards helping business owners like me to run and grow their businesses.

From hands on demos of the latest Sage software and Sage partner tools to seminars that help you focus on your customers too. If you own or work in a small business Sage Summit is all about you.

The speakers

The speakers they line up at Sage Summit are simply awesome. Last year we got to see some incredible people share their stories.

This year promises to be even better with a keynote conversation with Sir Richard Branson and Stephen Kelly. Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashton Kutcher will also be sharing their business journeys as will many others. You will discover new names too that influence you and stimulate new ways of thinking.

It’s inspiring

Not only is it inspiring to hear from the headline speakers, but there are loads of smaller seminars with interesting insights and inspirational stories to get your creative juices flowing. I came away buzzing with ideas for my business and a list of improvements I wanted to make. Sage Summit is the perfect opportunity to work on your business for a few days rather than it.

You learn and grow

I learnt about so many things including how to create great content, how to use more feedback loops in my business, the tiny secret to creating the next YouTube, how to stand out from the competition, what the zero moment of truth is and why personal stories rule in business. You cannot avoid learning and growing and stimulating if you attend Sage Summit. It had a profound effect on me and my business.

Networking

You meet some amazing people at the Sage Summit. As a result of attending I am now part of several social media and messaging groups that have connections around the world which support and share with one another. Thanks to the network of people I met at Sage Summit my growth and learning have continued long afterwards. I’m looking forward to catching up with my Sage friends at this year’s event.

What I really loved about the Sage Summit was how approachable, friendly and accommodating the people at Sage were whilst I was there.

Nobody was off limits and there were no ivory towers.

If you want to pick the brains of the chief marketing officer about marketing, he will chat with you. If you need to get up to speed with the software there are technicians to help out.

You could even join CEO Stephen Kelly for a run in the morning. As a raving fan of Sage software, this made my trip all the more enjoyable. I can’t wait to get to Chicago for this year’s event.

You can read my daily blogs from last year’s event to find out more about what to expect.
