What is a CIO?

The chief information officer (CIO) is usually the person in charge of the information technology (IT) strategy in a medium-sized business or large enterprise.

Today, CIOs will have increased strategic responsibilities and must understand market forces such as technology, innovation, vendor product offerings and an increasingly digital customer base.
