What is the food and drink industry?

The food and drink industry (also known as the food and beverage industry) consists of companies that process raw food agricultural commodities and semi-processed food products into food and drink products.

They are then sent off to be packaged and distributed for consumer consumption or for further processing.

It’s a highly competitive industry, with regular advances in process development.
