Promotion Terms and Conditions

General Terms

(These General Terms apply to prize draws and promotions relating to Sage products and services and are collectively referred to as “promotions”.)

  1. Promotions are administered by Sage (UK) Limited (or its affiliates) whose registered office is C23 5&6 Cobalt park Way, Cobalt Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, united Kingdom, NE28 9EJ (“Sage”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
  2. Promotions are subject to these General Terms, together with any specific instructions and terms for the promotions which may be provided to you in any electronic messages, on our website, or communicated to you in any other way (the “Promotional Material”). If there is any inconsistency between these General Terms and any Promotional Material, the Promotional Material will prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
  3. We reserve the right to change these General Terms and to withdraw promotions at any time.
  4. By entering the promotion, you agree that you will be legally bound by both these General Terms and any Promotional Material.
  5. Eligibility rules

  6. Promotions are only available to residents based in the United Kingdom who are aged 18 or over. Employees of Sage (or its affiliates), or any of its suppliers or contractors, any organisation professionally involved in the promotion, or their close relatives, are not eligible to enter. By entering the promotion, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
  7. We reserve the right to determine eligibility for promotions.
  8. Product Promotions

  9. From time to time, we may offer promotions that include discounts off the price of our products, free trials or the provision of a voucher. Please see the Promotional Material for further information including eligibility requirements. All vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier; they cannot be exchanged for cash.
  10. Promotions are only available to you if, at the time of taking advantage of the promotion, you do not already have an active subscription to the relevant product or an active Sage Cover Membership Agreement for the product (where applicable).
  11. All orders for our products will be subject to our standard terms and conditions of purchase and product/service specific terms and conditions. These can be found at https://www.sage.com/en-gb/legal/
  12. Unless otherwise stated in the Promotional Material, the promotion only applies to the base price and does not apply to additional modules, add-ons or third-party products. The promotion only applies to one (1) user licence.
  13. If you make use of a promotion and subsequently cancel your subscription to the product/service forming part of the promotion, we reserve the right to remove the promotion and revert to the original recommended retail price for the product/service forming part of the promotion.
  14. Only one promotion can be used per order unless specified in the Promotional Material.
  15. Prize Draws

  16. Instructions on how to enter a prize draw is stated in the Promotional Material. Unless otherwise stated, we will only accept one entry into the prize draw per person and no entrant may win more than prize. The winner is advised to check and is responsible for any tax implications which may arise as a result of accepting a prize(s).
  17. If the prize(s) is limited to a specific number, the number will be set out in the Promotional Material and will be issued to the first number of eligible winners. The deadline for accepting a prize will be outlined in the Promotional Material and prizes will not be awarded after the date set out in the Promotional Material.
  18. We will notify the winner(s) as soon as we can after the draw has taken place. We do not accept responsibility for entries which fail to reach us before the closing date for any reason, are incomplete, illegible or corrupted.
  19. In the unlikely event that we have difficulties in acquiring the advertised prize(s), we have the right to substitute the prize(s) with alternative(s) provided that any substitutions shall be of equal or greater value. We won’t offer a cash alternative and you cannot request an alternative prize.
  20. In some circumstances, prizes may be provided by an agent appointed by us. If you do not consent to us sharing your details with an agent for them to administer your prize, please do not agree to these General Terms.
  21. Where prizes are not claimed within the period specified in the Promotional Material they will be deemed to have been forfeited and we reserve the right to award the prize(s) to the next randomly selected entry or not at all.
  22. Prize(s) are subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer or supplier and all warranties, guarantees or other representations in relation to the prize(s) are as provided by the manufacturer or supplier. We will not be liable for any non-compatibility of the prize(s) with any other product or service.
  23. We will not be liable for any prizes which are lost, delayed or damaged in the post for reasons beyond our control.
  24. Where prizes are to be delivered to the personal address of a winner, the prize will only be delivered to an address within the UK and will only be sent once. Should a prize winner's contact details change, it is their responsibility to notify us or the contact persons for the relevant promotion.
  25. Event Prizes

  26. Where the prize for any promotion involves the winner’s attendance at (or tickets to) an event or similar, the winner acknowledges that we are not liable or responsible if any part of the event is cancelled, varied or rescheduled for any reason. If this means that the winner cannot attend the relevant event, we shall not be under any obligation to provide any alternative tickets or cash.
  27. Tickets to events must be taken on the dates specified by us.
  28. Winners must adhere to the rules of any venue they attend in line with the terms and conditions as specified as part of their event ticket and as a condition of entry.
  29. No additional costs or expenses (e.g. travel to and from an event, accommodations etc.) are included unless expressly stated otherwise in the Promotional Material.
  30. Event tickets cannot be sold by winners to alternative parties or given to other parties by way of a raffle, auction, or other similar means. Any tickets transferred in this way will be void.
  31. Publicity and Personal Data

  32. Any personal data relating to you will be used by us and/or by any agent appointed by us to assist with running the promotion, solely for the purposes of the promotion and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without your prior consent. By entering a promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by us and/or any agent appointed by us to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion. Please see our Privacy Notice for information on how we may process your personal data.
  33. By entering a promotion, you agree to co-operate with us for publicity purposes free of charge, to include the publication (including on the internet) of your name and photograph in the announcement of the result. If you object to your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact us. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  34. Social Media

  35. Where promotions are run via social media platforms, you acknowledge the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with such platform.
  36. Any entries via social media platforms will also be subject to their terms of use.
  37. Intellectual Property

  38. Where any promotion requires you to submit a photograph, sound or video clip or text of any description (collectively “Media”) as part of your entry, you:
    1. warrant and represent that the Media is your own original work and you have not copied anyone else’s work and that you are the exclusive owner of any intellectual property (“Background IP”); and
    2. agree that we have the right to publish it without restriction or limitation.
  39. You agree that all Background IP in any elements of the Media will irrevocably and automatically vest in us on receipt, with full title guarantee, to the extent possible permitted under applicable law, including the waiving of all moral rights, and you will sign (at our expense) any documents and take any other action which we request to ensure Background IP in the Media vest in us as agreed in these General Terms.
  40. Administration

  41. Our decisions relating to the promotion and/or redemption of prizes is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
  42. We shall not be liable to you if you suffer any financial loss or damage arising out of the refusal, cancellation or withdrawal of any promotion or any failure or inability by you to take advantage of the promotion for any reason. For the avoidance of doubt, this clause shall also apply in respect of any prize provided by an agency or a third party provider.
  43. These General Terms and any Promotional Terms are governed by the laws of England and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts shall apply.
