What is manufacturing?

< 1 min read

Manufacturing is the process of turning raw materials and component parts in finished goods that match the demands of the customer.

This could include food, chemicals, textiles, machinery and equipment.

The term could be applied to a range of activity. But in business, it’s usually applied to industrial production where materials are turned into goods on a large scale.
