Yes, our online services use the latest versions of a protocol called Transport Layer Security (TLS), a type of "encryption-in-transit". You can click on the padlock symbol in your web browser to confirm this. This protects your data while it is travelling over the internet. Your data is also encrypted while stored in Sage databases in the cloud. This means if someone were to steal hard drives from a data centre they would be unable to read the data. This is called "encryption-at-rest."
Two-factor authentication (2FA), a form of multi-factor authentication, adds an important layer of security to your Sage account. With 2FA, you use a one time code alongside your usual login details. You can set up 2FA in Account Management by selecting the "two-factor authentication" option to begin the setup process.
