Security FAQs

Yes, we have ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications across Sage Business Cloud products.

Our cyber defense operations team works 24/7 and uses state-of-the-art monitoring across Sage networks and cloud services to detect potential attacks in real time.

Cybersecurity controls are technologies, processes, and practices that are used to prevent, detect, and respond to attacks. This includes minimizing vulnerabilities in software and systems and implementing safeguards to stop attackers from finding a way in.

Yes, our online services use the latest versions of a protocol called Transport Layer Security (TLS), a type of "encryption in transit." You can click on the padlock symbol in your web browser to confirm this. This protects your data while it is being transmitted over the internet. Your data is always encrypted while stored in Sage databases in the cloud. This means that, if someone were to steal hard drives from a data center, they would be unable to read the data. This is called "encryption at rest."

Two-factor authentication (2FA), a form of multi-factor authentication, adds an important layer of security to your Sage account. With 2FA, you use a one-time code alongside your usual login details. You can set up 2FA in Account Management by selecting the "two-factor authentication" option to begin the setup process. Please note that you'll need a mobile device or phone to complete the 2FA setup. For further details on 2FA, please refer to our support article.
