Sage Education Program for students

Gain hands-on Sage experience and earn certification through the Sage Education Program, exclusively for students enrolled in a course at a Sage Education Partner institution.

Getting your student software is simple—follow these two easy steps.

Students who are not enrolled in a course at one of our Sage Education Partner institutions are encouraged to explore Sage University, where they can access official Sage training, learning resources and certification.

Step 1: register

Sage 50 - US Edition

The student version mirrors the desktop features of Sage 50 – U.S. Edition Premium.

Click below to register for your Sage 50 student version. Once approved, you will receive an email from Sage with your activation registration code.

Important information when registering: 

  • Select the version (year) your instructor has indicated will be used in your course.
  • Double-check that your email address is correct.
  • It may take up to 48 hours to receive a response.1
  • Don’t forget to download your software from the page linked in the section below.

Sage 300

The student desktop version gives learners hands-on access to key accounting features, including Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable), as well as Distribution (Order Entry, Purchase Orders, Inventory Control) and Project & Job Costing. 

Click below to register for your Sage 300 student version. Once approved, you will receive an email from Sage with your activation registration code.

Important: Educational versions of Sage software are eventually retired. Once a version is retired, we no longer provide support or registration codes. If your version does not appear in the options above, it has likely been retired.

New to Sage software? Sage University provides free “Getting Started” learning modules to help you build confidence and get up and running fast.

After completing your course at a Sage Education Partner, you can boost your resume by taking an official Sage certification exam3. Show off your skills to future employers—don’t forget to share your certificate!

  1. In some cases, emails will be sent to either your junk folder or blocked by your firewall. Please check your junk folder for your keys if you do not receive an email more than 48 hours after submitting your registration form.
  2. Do not download any product updates for the student version of software. Downloading updates will cause the student version to no longer be compatible and you will not be able to transfer data between the education version and the student version used at home.
  3. While some learning resources are free, Sage Certification and advanced online courses require a fee. Visit Sage University for pricing information.
