Sunshine Foss is the founder and CEO of Happy Cork, a wine & spirits travel shop with the largest selection of Black- and minority-owned brands. Born in Brooklyn but raised in the beautiful island of Saint Lucia, Sunshine found inspiration from both her roots and diverse experiences. It was this unique blend of cultures and her deep connection to the community that led to the creation of Happy Cork in the heart of Brooklyn. Founded in 2019, Sunshine and her team are committed to cultivating connections and building a community through an engaging lineup of events, including tastings with small- and celebrity-owned brands, partnering with local artists, and special activations with other small businesses. Unlike other wine and spirits shops within the local community, customers are like guests, invited in to ask questions, touch the bottles, and indulge in all the store’s offerings. Her commitment is to continue cultivating beautiful connections amongst the people Happy Cork serves.
