Black women are America’s fastest-growing demographic of entrepreneurs but have also been hit the hardest by the pandemic. We have partnered with The BOSS Network for a three-year program to tackle inequality, provide support and guidance during the pandemic and beyond, as well as help black women achieve their goals with everything that is needed to successfully start new businesses.

How Sage will help
We’re investing $500,000 to provide $10k grants to 25 black women-owned small business owners and a one-year business mentoring program for all 25 students with scholarships to the BOSS Business University.
Years Two & Three
We will again repeat the same number of grants awarded as well as provide one year of business mentoring for black women-owned small businesses.
A future of equality
Our work to knock down barriers to reach equality doesn’t stop here. We’re working with even more partners to help underrepresented communities start successful businesses.
Tech for Good is our commitment to supporting SMBs and communities to thrive by building trusted and inclusive digital networks and solutions. We are delivering on this pillar by using data and visualizations to help progress sustainable development goals, building trust and security into our network whilst maintaining high levels of data and AI ethics, and empowering people through Sage Foundation to scale businesses and develop the skills they need.
The Protect the Planet pillar is our commitment to fight climate change and drive a faster global transition to net zero. We are delivering this commitment by halving our own emissions by 2030 and becoming net zero by 2040, empowering SMs to get to net zero and by advocating for regulatory frameworks to support the transition to a low-carbon economy, whilst championing the role of SMBs.
