Addition of FFCRA tracking

This release includes payroll enhancements to better manage and track various types of compensation including amounts related to the COVID-19 Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) :

  • Expansion of Pay Types to accommodate additional fields needed by businesses, including those for FFCRA
  • Easy extraction and automatic population of Sick and Family Leave amounts to Form 941 Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return


AutoEntry Integration

AutoEntry makes it easy for you to eliminate manual data entry tasks, such as entering expenses, invoices, payments, bills, receipts, and bank statements into Sage 501.

Using the Sage 50 integration with AutoEntry, you can:

  • Capture and extract data from invoices, payments, bills, receipts and bank statements seamlessly and publish them directly into Sage 50.
  • Eliminate errors by automatically categorizing expenses and syncing invoices to matching purchase orders.
  • Keep your books up to date using the AutoEntry mobile app to scan or take photos of the documents you want to sync with Sage 50 and let AutoEntry capture details such as description, quantity, and price.

Memorized Purchase Invoices
Save time and reduce repetitive data entry tasks with memorized transactions that now include Purchase Invoices. Enter and save common transactions and use them repeatedly.
Sage ID - a single login to access all your connected services
Sage ID is a single login that lets you securely access the connected services available with your Sage 50 subscription.  You have secure authentication to connected services without the need to enter emails and passwords for individual connected services—such as Remote Data Access (formerly Sage Drive), Bank Feeds, or Invoice Payments.
New mouseover text for fields provides extra information
Hover your mouse over an Item or Job ID field to view details in a popup.  View the entire Item or Job ID as well as any associated Assemblies/Phase and Cost Codes.
Ship To Name for Customer Lists
The Ship To Name now appears on the Customer Management tab for Sales Invoices, Sales Orders, Quotes, Item Sales History by Customer, and Proposals making it easy to filter or group invoices, orders, quotes, or proposals by Ship to Name.
Sage Drive is now Remote Data Access

New name, same convenient access to your company data from anywhere you have Sage 50 installed. The new name removes confusion around its capabilities so you can focus on your business. With Remote Data Access, you can:

  • Stay productive, at home or on-the-go.
  • Collaborate on your books with a colleague or your CPA.
  • Avoid data loss with risky transfer services or storing your data to a USB.

Locate the serial number inside your Sage 50 product
  1. Click Help
  2. Select About Sage 50 Accounting from the top toolbar

The currently registered serial number for the product will display.

  2. Minimum one-year commitment required. To ensure continuous service, Sage 50 Accounting is only available on an automatically renewing subscription. The subscription plan is an annual subscription with a lease to the software license; therefore, you can only use the license while you are on the plan. You may terminate any of the plans at any time with 30 days’ advance notice to Sage; however, if you terminate your subscription plan or if your subscription payment is not received, you will have read-only access to your data, and full program functionality will not be restored until you have brought your account current. The subscription plan requires that you be on the most current version of the software to continue your subscription. May not be combined with any other offers.
  3. Requires Sage Drive, which is only available to customers on the latest release of Sage 50 Accounting and requires a computer with Internet Explorer 10, Firefox, or Chrome and a high-speed Internet connection. Sage 50 data may be fully accessed from more than one device at a time by one individual each and there are limits as to the amount of data that can be accessed. Additional fees are required for full access for more than one simultaneous remote user. Data access is subject to Internet provider network availability and occasional downtime due to system and server maintenance. Requires a license to Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium in order to access data on mobile devices.
