As Aegis grew, reliance on Excel budgeting meant labor-intensive manual work and inflexibility in creating and adapting models. Using the Sage Intacct dashboards, profit center budget managers now have access to timely and accurate data, improving collaboration across the company and supporting data-driven business decisions. What’s more, Aegis has increased the frequency of budget vs. actuals reporting from quarterly to monthly and only takes 30 minutes each month instead of four or five days a quarter.

With Sage Intacct, we can take our reporting beyond just a high-level rollup and see how each profit center is performing vs. budget; we couldn’t do that accurately before.

Huge turning point switching to Sage Intacct

The addition of Sage Intacct Planning enhances the value of Aegis’s Sage Intacct accounting platform, with the systems working in tandem to deliver groundbreaking efficiency and visibility. MacDonald estimates overall accounting efficiency has risen 5x, while the company has instituted much more robust monthly close and reporting processes.
