GRAMMY Museum Mississippi - UNITED STATES

Sage hits the right note for GRAMMY Museum Mississippi

GRAMMY Museum Mississippi scales programming 400% through Sage Intacct’s modern processes and deeper insights

Tuning pitch-perfect financials from day one

The Cleveland Music Foundation is a nonprofit that runs GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi. Before opening to the public in 2016, auditors insisted the organization adopt a robust system to track each of the museum’s diverse income streams - including membership dues, program fees, admissions, gift shop proceeds, sponsorships, a local tourism tax, multiple grants, and donations.

We chose Sage Intacct over competitor solutions because it was the easiest to use, and every accountant and auditor we talked with loved the system.

Orchestrating efficient processes across diverse income streams

The museum has leveraged Sage Intacct to build a modern, audit-ready foundation upon which to scale. Prior to the museum opening, it took two people nearly five days to close the month with QuickBooks, while now, even with significantly more transactions, it takes just one person around two days to close at month end, and its reporting is 20% faster.

Sage Intacct was instrumental in helping us implement best practices across every financial workflow.

Insight into key trends helps increase profits 64%

Sage Intacct is providing greater financial transparency through granular reporting with the museum able to see overall performance, as well as specific department and program types. Most recently, these greater insights helped the museum decide to add event coordinator hours for its facility rental department—a move that’s grown rentals by 56% and increased profitability by 64%.

We make better business decisions daily because Sage Intacct gives us insight to determine the optimal staffing and programming levels during seasonal peaks or valleys.
