Montana Hospital Association find a financial lifesaver in Sage Intacct

The healthcare nonprofit uses Sage cloud financials to simplify multi-entity consolidations and save $100,000 per year in headcount costs

Complex finances made more difficult by outdated software

Structured as three distinct subsidiaries - an association, a nonprofit foundation, and for-profit services venture - Montana Hospital Association have become increasingly complex over time. The finance team were relying on an outdated ERP system - Microsoft Dynamics SL - which was difficult to use and required costly hardware and upgrades.

We decided it was time to get off our archaic financial system and go to a modern system in the cloud.

Streamlining financial processes

Having implemented Sage Intacct to replace the old system, Montana Hospital Association’s finance team is enjoying greatly eased financial processes across all three entities. Gaining the ability to share one vendor list and one customer list across the entire organization, the new solution has streamlined all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entities.

Sage Intacct has been a lifesaver for us, increasing productivity so we can manage MHA’s growth without adding more headcount to the finance team.

Peace of mind

Montana Hospital Association has drastically improved its organizational visibility with Sage Intacct, building personalized dashboards for each grant manager with budget-to-actuals and year-to-date transactions, which help them to closely manage their grants. More than that, the transparency for the whole company brings executives peace of mind.

Everyone can see what we’re doing at any point in time without waiting for batch processes to complete or for the finance team to manually run reports.
