Sage invoicing software keeps all your customer details, your product and service information close at hand. Sending an invoice is quick and easy. Just select a customer, choose the products or services bought, then send your branded invoice.

You can use the Quick Entries option in Sage Accounting to enter multiple sales invoices and credit notes at once. These can be created by hand or from another system. Once you’ve created a Quick Entries invoice and the customer has paid, you can record it as a customer receipt. You can quickly convert quotes to invoices too, using Sage Accounting so that you don't need to re-enter details. Sage Accounting will process an invoice as soon as it's sent or received. When a customer pays you via the Pay Now button on a Sage Accounting invoice, it will automatically update inside of Sage Accounting.

With Sage Accounting, you can create customised purchase and sales invoices, including pro-forma. You can also create recurring invoices and draft invoices before sending. With Sage Accounting, you can pick and choose from nine different invoicing templates for your company, that support product and service-based businesses. You can also add or customise the following information on each invoice:

  • Document headings
  • Footer details including information about your business
  • Associated company logos
  • Theme colours and font colours, related to your branding
  • Prefixes and numbering
  • Contact details and addresses
  • Line items including price, rate and quantity of hours, including discounts per line item
  • Terms and conditions, these can be templated to show as default or otherwise
  • Notes, for example how you want customers to pay you

Yes. Sage Accounting will create an online version of every invoice, so you can choose to send customers professional PDF documents, or a direct link to allow them to view the invoices online, in real time.

You can also share the link internally to provide a view with colleagues in your business who don’t have access to Sage Accounting. Customers can also see the payment status of invoices. You can apply a customer’s payment to an invoice and review the status of the invoice whether it’s outstanding, part paid or paid.

If a customer sends one payment to cover multiple invoices, it’s easy to allocate the payment to more than one invoice at a time.
