Glossary definition

What is the Net-Zero Standard?

The Science-Based Targets initiative’s (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard is the world’s first framework for corporate net-zero target setting in line with climate science. It includes guidance, criteria, and recommendations to help companies set science-based net-zero targets consistent with limiting global temperature rises to 1.5°C by 2050 (in relation to pre-industrial levels). Developing such a framework is vital to allow companies to compare targets.
