Sage Recognised as a Top Employer in 2024, Wins Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award for Best Places to Work

Newcastle, UK ; January 10, 2023 – Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses, was today named a winner of Glassdoor’s annual Employees’ Choice Awards, honouring the Best Places to Work 2024. The Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards are based on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback on Glassdoor by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer over the past year. Sage placed #43 amongst the top 50 companies in the UK.

This news follows three recent high-profile mentions received by Sage for its culture and equity work – the company was also named to Forbes’ World’s Best Employers list, Forbes’ Top Employers for Women list, and Financial Times’ Diversity Leaders 2024 list.

On Glassdoor, Sage has been repeatedly praised by colleagues for the quality of its talent, its benefits programmes, and the work-life balance it offers, among other things. The company’s DEI efforts boast a 4.3/5 rating from colleagues, and CEO Steve Hare has an approval rating of 87 % on the platform.

Amanda Cusdin, Chief People Officer of Sage, said : "Sage puts a lot of effort into being an employer of choice. Our many teams – from DEI to rewards to culture & talent – all work hard to give our colleagues a best-in-class work experience, no matter their role or location. We will continue to focus on areas where more work is needed, but having our progress validated with a vote of confidence from our colleagues – both past and present – has been a great way to start 2024."

Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor Chief Executive Officer said : "Worklife is rapidly changing, and professionals are turning to Glassdoor to share their experiences about working for some of the most competitive employers in the world”.

He continued : "The Best Places to Work award is a stark reminder of the power of Glassdoor, from arming professionals with career insights and real-time conversations about all things work and life, to providing employers with feedback to improve. Glassdoor has evolved to make sure that transparency isn’t a fad, but rather, a foundational component in the future of work."
