Tech for Good

Breaking down the barriers to digital equality - for innovation, enterprise, and progress.

Breaking down the barriers to digital equality

For everyone to benefit from technology and the opportunities it creates, we need a truly diverse technology sector. It’s our goal to ensure individuals get equal opportunities to thrive in the new era of work.

Read about the key ways we plan to address the lack of diversity in technology.

Striving for diversity, equity, and inclusion

We have six commitments that will help us advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at Sage, and foster a stronger sense of belonging. These commitments are for all our colleagues, customers, suppliers, partners, and communities. We have made them public, so you can hold us to account and help ensure that our actions, values, and behaviours are at the standard you expect from us.

Empowering people through data for good

Data is empowering SMEs, governments, and the individuals behind them. Together with trusted third parties, we will enable them to make more informed data-driven decisions and policies whilst keeping customers safe and in control of their data by:

  • Stepping up as a voice for SMEs
  • Addressing SMEs’ challenges to help them thrive
  • Empowering individuals and businesses with data that is accessible and trustworthy

Enabling everyone to make a difference

Nurturing talent goes beyond improving skillsets at Sage. Well-being, flexible working, and volunteering time are key to ensuring employees feel their best and achieve results that make us proud.

We’re aiming to:

  • Reach 1 million colleague volunteering hours by 2022
  • Fundraise $2 million by 2022 for non-profit organisations around the world
  • Continue to offer every colleague at Sage 5 paid days to volunteer or fundraise, and give their time to the organisations they care about the most

Making technology accessible to all

To make our solutions and services are inclusive to everyone, we’re committing to be transparent about our progress. We are:

  • Aiming to offer full accessibility for Sage cloud native products by 2025
  • Part of the Valuable 500 Charter to bring equality of opportunities for people living with disabilities
  • Publishing our global disability and inclusion plan for the next 3 years
  • Ensuring everyone can use our website in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Providing discounted product and financial literacy training to non-profits

Building a generation of tech talent

We’re creating opportunities for young people to thrive by learning life-changing digital skills. Building on our work with Sage FutureMakers programme and FIRST LEGO League, we aim to create new digital skills opportunities for 10,000 school children by 2023.
