Peoples Services makes a quantum leap with Sage Intacct

Warehousing and transportation 3PL, People Services,  saves 20 hours a month, and elevates insights with 36 dashboards thanks to Sage Intacct.

Outdated systems for Peoples Services delay time and limit efficiency

Peoples Services was running an antiquated AS/400 system for financial management that was so heavily customized that the company needed to engage the original programmer to make changes. Limitations in the DOS-based system meant that Peoples Services had to run separate accounts for each of its 45 locations. The company couldn’t post journal entries in time, delaying the monthly close.

We’re now able to spread the work out more evenly over the month instead of having this massive crunch when we start the closing cycle.

A three-day faster monthly close with streamlined accounting

With Sage Intacct, Adam’s team is saving 16 hours a month on journal entry work thanks to the ability to automate recurring entries. The team no longer needs to wait until the end of the month to handle journal entries. In addition, closing the books each month is now accomplished in as few as eight days, compared to up to 11 days.

We were impressed with the flexibility of Sage Intacct, the intuitive interface, the ease of cross-training new employees on the platform, and the ability to create ad hoc and custom reports.
