Meet the future shapers

“On my first day at the office, I was so excited but very nervous at the same time as I wondered what kind of person my manager would be and the kind of team I would be joining. Now, looking back I had nothing to be nervous about because I work in an amazing team and have a wonderful manager who has been so patient and encouraging throughout my internship so far.”

Talent Acquisition Intern

“A major highlight of my role so far has been my work on the Whole Person Growth project where I was given free rein to run with the project. I made what is sort of like a web page for the Transformation Office that minimises decision fatigue, giving colleagues the chance to search and find video content easily on all the development opportunities we have available, from signing up for apprenticeships, to learning new skills through courses on LinkedIn Learning.”

Annette
Global Enablement Graduate

“I really enjoy how stable and secure I feel in my job. I enjoy that I can make plans for my future and know that Sage will support me to achieve my goals. As graduates, we get to explore other parts of the business/other departments and we are encouraged to stretch ourselves like this.  So if I wanted to, I could explore being a product manager or a developer etc. and I’d be supported to do so.”

Make tomorrow better

The application flow

Steps

01

Apply

Applications are open from December to May for intern and graduate roles, but close shortly after the assessment date listed on the job advert.

02

Interview

Within a week of applying, a real person will review your application. If they feel you could be a match, they’ll invite you to a video interview.
03

Assessment

About 1-2 weeks prior to the assessment centre date listed on the job advert, selected candidates will be invited to a virtual, informal team building activity and opportunity to meet their future function.
04

Decision

Within three working days after the assessment, you’ll get a final decision. Candidates who aren’t chosen will receive valuable feedback. Those who are chosen will later embark on an exciting onboarding programme alongside fellow interns and graduates.

Frequently asked questions

All roles are full-time at this time.

Yes. For interns, you’ll be given insight into graduate roles within your function that you may be able to apply for when you complete your studies and conclude your internship. For graduates, you’ll either be appointed to or have the opportunity to apply for a role after your graduate programme is complete. This will vary by function.

Definitely. Our intern and graduate roles are carefully designed around live projects with real responsibility. Our millions of customers are counting on our products to help them run their businesses better, and we need every person at Sage to help us achieve this.

Our intern and graduate roles are hybrid spending 2-3 days per week in the office. We want you to get the most out of your Sage experience and found that office days spent collaborating with the team accelerate growth.

Our culture is rooted in seeking perspectives from all walks of life. If you’re in the UK, you’ll meet our entire executive leadership team and our CEO, Steve Hare. Steve also regularly speaks to all colleagues about the importance of early talent referring to them as “inspirational new voices”. Whatever your title, you have a seat at the table.

Embrace it! You’re in an active learning period as an intern or graduate. We want you to always be curious and ask lots of questions. People at Sage are approachable and welcome the opportunity to support our Early Careers community. If you’re looking for input from an expert, reach out to your mentor. Or, if you’d rather bounce thoughts off of a fellow colleague, your peer mentor, or 'buddy' as we call them at Sage, is a Teams chat or desk away.

We’re so glad you care, because so do we. Check out how we’re doing our part in making the world a better place, and how you can contribute too when you join Sage. Explore our DEI page.
