Yes. It’s not uncommon that candidates pursue the Pathways programme to break into tech, however some roles will ask for some formal training or experience. The job advert will outline these specifics. We’ll assess your technical ability as part of the interview process, then develop an onboarding plan to support your transition.
Embrace it! The Pathways programme is designed for active learning. We want you to always be curious and ask lots of questions. If you’re looking for input from an expert, reach out to your mentor. Or, if you’d rather bounce thoughts off a fellow colleague, your peer mentor or ‘buddy’ as we call them at Sage, is a Teams chat or desk away.
Pathways roles are also designed with flexibility in mind. Right away, you’ll receive training during onboarding and learn about resources that support your wellbeing. Be sure to also let your manager know what you need so they can be in your corner.
Our Pathways roles are hybrid based meaning you’ll get a mix of working in the office and at home. We want you to get the most out of your Sage experience and found that office days spent collaborating with the team accelerate growth. All colleagues, however, have the option to work-away for up to 10-weeks.
