Sage partners help power the future of construction technology

Here's how Sage's partner network is helping to power the future of construction technology

As I reflect on Timberline’s storied history as the market leader in construction accounting technology for more than 50 years, I can’t help but think of Sage’s incredible partner network. We wouldn’t be where we are today without our partners, who play an integral role in serving our customers.

As we look to the future, I know our partners will be with us every step of the way. They believe that Sage solutions are the best solutions to help their clients prosper in today’s competitive landscape. In fact, our partners believe so strongly in Sage products that we’ve recently had two top construction partners, Alliance Solutions Group and Bangert Inc., announce their decisions to offer a Sage-exclusive product portfolio, including Sage Intacct Construction, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage Estimating, and add-on solutions from Sage’s development partners.

Alliance Solutions Group, LLC (ASG), one of the largest construction and real estate partners for Sage, was formed in 2005 by Michael Griffith.  ASG is an industry powerhouse and has been recognized with numerous awards, including Sage Intacct Construction Partner of the Year since the product’s launch in 2020.

As technology transitioned from client server to cloud technology, ASG expanded its offerings to include a variety of solutions. However, with the launch of Sage Intacct Construction, the industry-leading cloud financial management solution, ASG was able to offer a complete range of construction software solutions through the Sage product portfolio.

Bangert, Inc., the longest standing Sage partner that hasn’t been acquired or renamed, was founded by Richard and Kurt Bangert in 1983 and became a Timberline reseller in 1988. From the early days of personal computers to today’s hyperconnected environment, Bangert is continuously innovating and changing how it delivers services in order to help its clients succeed. The Bangert team has been at the forefront of construction technology since the company’s founding and has always had a customer-focused mindset.

Our shared values drive our successful partner relationships. Kurt Bangert, president and CEO of Bangert, Inc. echoed this sentiment:

“Our decision to exclusively deliver Sage products was driven primarily by a few factors: the strength of Sage’s product offerings, its commitment to its customers, and its longevity in the industry. We were impressed with the steady progress on bringing feature-rich Sage Intacct Construction to market in a way that’s viable. We were also drawn to Sage’s customer-friendly programs, including the Sage loyalty program, and the ability to migrate to subscription. Our customers count on us and with Sage we know they will be right there with us, helping our customers succeed for decades to come.”

We take great pride in our partner network. With their years of industry experience and technology know-how, our customers are in good hands. Sage partners provide local support, from selecting and implementing the right solutions, to properly training users, to ensuring that customers are maximizing their technology investments. They are always looking for the best ways to serve our shared customers.

An example of this is ASG’s development of a successful CaaS (consulting-as-a-service) implementation and support option for Sage Intacct. As customers’ needs shifted to cloud and industry specific SaaS solutions, ASG developed Alliance Connects, which provides a different approach to the implementation and delivery process.

“We’ve invested a lot of time and resources in our Alliance Connects Consulting-as-a-Service program and will continue to do so,” said Mike Griffith, founder and managing partner at ASG. “Alliance provides a complete offering to our clients from implementation thru post go-live.”

Other longtime Sage-exclusive partners have had great success with Sage Intacct Construction, including ETHOSystems, a multi-award-winning partner with over 35 years of experience, serving the Midwest, Rocky Mountains, and Southwest. Large Sage Intacct-exclusive partners have also hit the ground running with Sage Intacct Construction, including Sockeye Consulting, an award-winning partner with more than 15 years of industry experience based in Alaska, and Kerr Consulting, an end-to-end managed services administrator headquartered in Texas with offices around the country and more than 35 years of industry expertise. Our robust network of VARs across the United States ensures our customers always have the support that they need.

While cloud solutions continue to play a critical role in keeping people connected and projects moving, we understand that every business is different. Our partners help find the best options for our customers’ unique needs. They take the time to get to know their business and determine the best path forward, including cloud deployment of their on-premises solutions, native cloud Sage Intacct Construction, and add-on solutions and mobile apps.

We want to ensure our customers are prepared if and when they choose to make their move to the cloud. That’s why all Sage subscription customers now have access to Sage Intacct Construction. We want to make the move as easy as possible, so they can continue using their current product while also gaining access to the Starter Edition of Sage Intacct Construction, at no additional cost. This allows them to explore the benefits of a cloud solution and begin preparing for a move to the cloud at their own pace. Customers will also maintain access to their current Sage solutions indefinitely, even after they decide to move to Sage Intacct Construction.

Our partners see the value in this and lend their own services to enable a smooth transition. They know that together we are well-prepared for the future. They have seen the benefits of clients being able to rely on Sage products all of these years, including the huge time and cost savings of not having to search for, select, and deploy new solutions.

Tens of thousands of customers have benefited from our partners’ expertise over the years, and we look forward to their continued success as they help power the future of construction technology!
